Child and Youth Worker (Summer Contract)

About the Role

We are looking for a Child and Youth Worker to join our team for the summer. This is a contract position working directly with infants, children, and youth across our Sunday programming.

You will help create safe, welcoming environments where kids and youth are known, cared for, and growing in their faith. You will report to the Pastors.

Responsibilities

Support and lead programming for infants, toddlers, children and youth. (ages 0 -16)

Serve on Sundays and any mid week programs as scheduled

Assist with planning and running events throughout the summer

Build trusted relationships with children, youth, and their families

Maintain a safe and inclusive environment in all ministry settings

Qualifications

Comfortable working in a church environment

Vulnerable Sector Screening in accordance to Pathway Child Protection Plan Policy

Previous experience working with children or youth in a church setting is an asset

A team-oriented attitude and strong relational skills

Compensation

$18.75 per hour, up to 280 hours per contract.
