Pathway Community Church is a member of the Canadian Conference of Brethren in Christ churches. The Board for Church Development of the Canadian Conference prayerfully seeks out areas where new church plants may be established. In the fall of 1998, they targeted Kitchener, Ontario, as an area where more churches were needed.
After demographic studies, meeting with area churches, general information meetings, prayer gatherings and social events for those interested, we began to meet at Doon Public School in September of 1999. Our official opening was held on November 21, 1999.
From an initial group of about 50 people who were committed to the church plant, we are now averaging over 100 in attendance at our Sunday Celebration services. We have seen a good number of people come to faith in Christ and have had the privilege of baptizing over 25 believers taking a public stand to follow Christ.
Our services are currently held at Doon Pioneer Park Community Centre, which is located at 150 Pioneer Drive, Kitchener, Ontario, between Homer Watson and Doon Village Road.
We aim to develop into a body of believers who consistently demonstrate Christ-likeness in all areas of life.
